As our heroes return to Haletop, they begin to hear troubling tales of the power amassing near the Ocean, a power Kass is adamant to avoid. Jaird helps the new Larkholdians settle into Haletop and together with Pellus rebuild much of the shrine. Lyrian is turned away from learning anything under Anders. Meanwhile, Cadmear finds out who sent the assassin into his home.
